You are invited to create a real impact in your clients’ lives with a solution-focused approach, a paradigm shift from problem-focused/symptom-based interventions. 

⇒ SFBT is an evidence-based and effective strength-based intervention representing a paradigm shift from classic problem-focused / symptom-based interventions. 

⇒ During the training program, you will practice the skills needed to conduct therapeutic interviews that use clients’ existing strengths and resources to help them find solutions to a wide range of human difficulties. 

Time: 06.45 PM to 8.45 PM (IST)

Dates: 15th ,16th ,17th , 22nd 23rd ,24th ,29th 30th & 31st May 2023

Days: Monday to Wednesday; 

Hours: 18 hours (2 hours each day; 9 days)

What you’ll learn?

⇒ Recognize the difference between problem-solving and solution-building interviewing interventions

⇒ Understand microanalysis and how the embedded presuppositions of questions and statements impact your clients

⇒ Practice solution-focused techniques such as the resources activation question, scaling, exception finding and goal formulation and identify SFBT turning points.

During the training:

⇒ Participants will learn through case studies, discussion, practical exercises, role-plays and live demonstrations on using the solution-focused approach in a mental health setting.

⇒ Develop greater resilience, self-care and a positive mindset – for both you and your clients.

⇒ Expect opportunities for collaboration and networking with fellow learners.

Facilitator: 

Dr. Jaseem Koorankot is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist with Solution Focused orientation since 2010. He is the Co-founder of the Academy for Solution-Focused Approaches & Research (ASFAR). He writes and presents on solution-focused brief therapy, psychotherapy process research, affective neuroscience, career psychology, and psychometric test construction.
